LUCY

LUCY, formerly Tag #1277 was saved from MPS Livestock and Ship pen in Bastrop, Louisiana, USA, on April 12, 2019. She is a Grey BLM Mustang Mare, 7 years old, broke to ride. She was destined to ship for slaughter to Mexico. Lucy was the first mustang rescue for our Sanctuary. She is an in your pocket friendly horse. We were first introduced to Mae who has dedicated her life to saving Wild Mustangs. She can be found on SAVING AMERICA’S WILD & DOMESTIC HORSES & BURROS website. After we purchased Lucy, Mae made us aware that Lucy came to kill pen with three of her friends, Lacey, Wanda & Ruby. Therefore with Mae’s help fundraising we saved these next three mustangs too.
