REBA

REBA, formerly Tag #1263 was saved from MPS Livestock & Ship Pen in Bastrop, Louisanna, USA, on April 8, 2019. She is a Sorrel Saddle Molly Mule, 12 years old, broke to ride and drive. She was going to be shipped for slaughter to Mexico. We just happened to google Mules for Sale on the internet, and saw her ad on Equine Now. We called the telephone number listed on the ad and spoke with a lady by the name of Anne. She informed us that Reba was in a kill pen and would be shipping in the next couple days. If we wanted to save her life we had to call MPS to buy her asap. This was our first animal saved. We had no idea this was an everyday occurence in the USA – and this was our first experience with the kill pen scenario. We are forever grateful to Anne for her help in saving Reba, and making us aware of this whole Horse Slaughter Industry. Reba is such a sweet girl!
