STEVIE

STEVIE, formerly Tag #0539 was saved from Strouds Kill Pen in Oklahoma, USA, on June 1, 2019. He is a blind Haflinger Pony Gelding, 9 years old, broke to ride. Stevie did not arrive home with us until January 6, 2020. He was to come home on the truck September 22, 2019 but when trucker was loading animals he could not load Stevie because he was blind. After we made a call to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and explained the situation we were informed that the trucking company just had to make special provisions for him, either have in separate pen by himself or with a buddy. We then contacted the Trucking Company and they agreed to send Stevie on the next load coming home. Unfortunately the next load did not arrive until January 6, 2020. Stevie may be blind but he manages just fine. He is as cute as a button.
